There are 35 states that have laws that allow parents to choose sex education for their children. Even worse, 3 states have parents who choose their children in sex education. There is controversy as to whether sex education should be given in schools, and they often only teach abstinence, but the fact that teenagers are unaware of this information leads them to make bad decisions because of their ignorance. Some believe that sex education should only cover abstinence, while others believe that discussing safe sex is an important part of sex education. The importance of sex education lies in ensuring that all students are aware of the options they have, which can be done through comprehensive sex education in schools.
